Hui Chu grew up in a family of teachers, and ever since primary school, she had dreamed of becoming a teacher. She majored in Chinese literature and Education at Taiwan Normal University, and went on to study Guidance in graduate school. Since then, she’ s been teaching for more than 30 years.
Since 1995, Wen-lin Cuei Murray has been working with young children ages 18 months to 6 years teaching dance and creative movement. Most recently, she taught Kindergarten and 1st grades at Northern Westchester Chinese School. She has a BFA in Dance from Purchase College (SUNY) and a certificate in Early Child Hood education and Laban Movement Analysis. When she’s not teaching dance and Chinese, she loves to knit, crochet and sew.
Jingqui graduated from Shanghai International Studies University. She is excited about teaching children in her native language and enjoys helping children expand their understanding of Chinese culture through language. In her free time she enjoys reading, swimming and snowboarding.
Tianmin grew up in China and earned her Electronic Engineering Degree at The University of Hunan Broadcasting and Television. She grew up in a family of teachers and from an early age she appreciated and learned the value of helping children lay a solid foundation for the love of learning. She has been a classroom teacher for 15 years.
Yu-Ning Chan is a teacher assistant at Chinese Language Program. She grew up in Taiwan and moved to New York in 2008. Yu-Ning joined the CLP family during the summer camp sessions in 2012, and continues to work in the school sessions. She enjoys working with children and sometimes babysits on the weekends. She is currently in her second year at Manhattanville College.
A creative and enthusiastic dance teacher, Stella Zhang applies her dance talents to early stage Chinese language learning. As the Mommy and Me class teacher, she patiently engages young children in singing, dancing, exercising, and playing - all in Mandarin Chinese. A fun and loving person in and out of the classroom, she is attentive to children's individual needs and believes that "when you teach with love; you will be rewarded with love". Stella received her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Shanghai Polytechnic University and her MBA from California State University East Bay. Besides being a Chinese language and dance teacher, she devotes a great deal of time to school volunteer work. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, exercise, movie, and travel.
Jing Jing works as a teacher assistant in the CLP Southern Westchester location. She is well loved by CLP students and always brings a lot of fun to each class she works with. Jing Jing also works as one of our camp leaders during the summer months. She is a creative cook with fun Chinese cooking recipes she teaches to our campers each summer! When Jing Jing is not teaching Mandarin and playing with the students, she is working hard at Concordia University in her Senior year. Jing Jing will continue her studies in nursing.
